Chromolite Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is the biggest innovation in hair removal method and technology for over fifty years. It offers a clinically proven, fast, safe and effective method for removing hair leaving you with smooth skin every day, so not more waxing or shaving. Suitable for facial and body areas for both men and women.
Chromolite delivers pulses of light into the skin at a specific wavelength which is selectively absorbed in the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. The light energy heats the pigment and effectively disables the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin tissue. Once treated the hairs will gradually slip out over the next 7 to 14 days leaving the skin smooth and hair free.
It is important to note that IPL hair removal is effective in removing hairs which are in the growing ( Anagen) phase. Follicles in the second phase (Catagen) and third phase (Telagen) will not be affected since the dermal papilla is not yet attached to the follicle itself. As a result additional treatments will be required once the dormant hairs reach the Anagen phase. The actual number varies between individuals but our experience indicates that a minimum of six treatments are usually required. There tends to be a five to eight week interval between treatments.
Chromolite offers the latest technology in IPL hair removal. Clinical studies have proven that IPL technology is effective in permanently reducing hair growth. It is a gradual process but once the hair follicle has been treated it should not regrow.
Treatment cost depends on the areas treated and number of treatments required . Over time compared to a lifetime of waxing treatment, Chromolite IPL hair removal can be more cost effective and certainly achieves faster and more permanent results.
Laser or IPL hair removal are not suitable for everyone. Those with darker skin types have a higher risk of pigmentation due to the higher melanin content of the skin. You should avoid sunlight on the treated area for a period of time before and after treatment.
This traditional method of permanent hair removal invented over 100 years ago, is performed by inserting a very fine, flexible needle into the follicle (the pocket where the hair sits in your skin). Your therapist then skillfully applies a tiny amount of current (heat know as thermolysis) and destroys the lower part of the follicle, which stops any more hairs growing from that particular follicle. The hair is then removed with tweezers. Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including the eyebrows, face, thighs, abdomen, breasts, and legs. As with IPL repeat treatments are required due to the different stages of the hair growth cycle.

Botox
Botox can be used for the treatment of lines and wrinkles due to facial expressions e.g. worry lines or frown lines on the forehead and in-between the eyebrows and crow’s feet. The look can be as subtle as you want and can create a younger and more rested appearance. The durability of Botox is different for each person. Generally the life span is approximately 3–4 months then you will notice a gradual fading over the next 1–2 months.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are non surgical cosmetic treatments used to bring a more youthful appearance by restoring volume or fullness to the face and lips. They work by reducing or eliminating lines, wrinkles and folds in the skin and the effect is seen immediately after treatment.
Dermal fillers are excellent for lip plumping, and wrinkle correction, examples include;
• The folds that run from the nose to the mouth
• Vertical wrinkles around the mouth
• Creases at the corner of the mouth
• Crow’s feet
• Frown lines between the eyebrows (may get best results if treated with Botox first.)
Elisabeth uses Juvederm Ultra which is non-permanent Hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout our bodies: in our skin, bones, joints and eyes. It acts as a lubricant and moisturiser due to its ability to attract and store water. In other words Hyaluronic acid is in part responsible for the natural volume found in youthful skin.

Permanent Make-up
Permanent make-up is a type of cosmetic tattooing that uses pharmaceutical grade pigments that results in a wonderful shadow of colour which looks like perfectly applied make up which can last for up to two years.
• Eyebrow contours - this is an ideal treatment for people who continually need to use a brow pencil for patchy or non-existent eyebrows. You can choose from a subtle soft pencilled look or textured hair strokes.
• Eyeliner contours - we would start with an eyelash enhancement which outlines the upper and lower eyelids between the lashes which help to define your eye contour, makes your lashes appear thicker and emphasizes the colour of your eyes; you can then further build on this to create an eyeliner look. This is ideal for people with watery eyes, those who struggle to apply normal eyeliner, sporty types and those with busy lives.
• Lip contours - suitable for all lips, they can be lined and the colour blended into the lips enhancing their shape and colour, also ideal for clients who have lost colour or shape through the aging process.
Reflexology is a form of ancient Chinese medicine involving treatment by massage of reflex areas found in the feet. Every part of both feet coprresponds to a part of the body with the right foot representing the right side of the body and the left foot to the left side.
Each treatment lasts one hour and can be helpful in a wide range of complaints including migranie, back pain, sinus trouble, heart and circulatory conditions, digestive problems, kidney disorder, menstrual and hormonal problems.
